IT Emergency lesson 3

I think he was sad as he recalled the incidents of the past. I think he felt that his school life was not enjoyable. He recalled only the unhappy incidents such as the photo in the year book where his eyes were closed.

I do not share the same sentiments as Affran Sa'at. I am an optimist and usually think about the happy incidents that occured. But, my school life in primary school was "bad" as I had loads of homework and sometimes punishments. So, i will write a poem about both bad and good school life.

School is a daily routine for us
In the morning we are not to make a fuss
Even when the sun is not up
Here we are, waking 6am sharp

Others feel that school such is a bore
I feel that school is such a chore
Parents always say,"School's great!"
We complain,"School's not fun!"

Over the years of education,
We never had so much learning with action
After PSLE we learnt so much
We've even saved the trees!

Some may feel that school is a torture chamber
Some cannot wait for the year-end holidays
But it depends how we look at it
For me, school is cool!

Walt Whitman

Walt Whitman was born on May 31,1819 and died on March 26 1892. He was an amercian poet, but also specialized in other aspects, such as humanities, writing essays and also a journalist. Walt Whitman is usually labeled as homosexual or bisexual by biographers, as his sexuality is often discussed alongside his poetry.

Walt Whitman was born on Long Island. He is among the most influential poets in the American canon, often called the father of free verse. In addition to his poetry, he also worked as a journalist, a teacher, a government clerk, and a volunteer nurse during the American Civil War.

Three poems by him:

IT Emergency lesson 1

LET us twain walk aside from the rest;
Now we are together privately, do you discard ceremony,
Come! vouchsafe to me what has yet been vouchsafed to none—Tell me the whole story,
Tell me what you would not tell your brother, wife, husband, or physician.
By Walt Whitman

The author describes everything very vividly. Although the poem is short, the words have a strong impact. I think this is the way we should write compositions and i can learn alot from his poems.

I love the way that Walt Whitman writes. His style of writing is very different from that of the other poets, and the way he describes is flawless. This poet rhymes and uses the appropriate words to describe the different situations
